IDMANN Institute is committed to assisting students create jobs and self-supporting enterprises. A unique feature of the Institute is the ability to support eligible and suitably qualified student GROUPS with MICRO-loans to start or expand their businesses upon graduation. These micro-loans are provided through the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF). The EDF is jointly set up and managed by The IDMANN Institute, Aquada Development Corporation and Vertical Optimization, LLC. It operates as a microloan venture (VC) fund.

Vertical Optimization is the managing partner, IDMANN is the educational partner and Aquada is the technical services partner. In addition to partner funds, Vertical Optimization ensures the attraction of additional investment funds from appropriate sources to ensure fund liquidity. This fund is for the support of students and technical entrepreneurs who have successfully completed their training and meet the lending guidelines. This is a LOAN program. Students are expected to work diligently to meet the lending requirements to qualify for (full or partial) funding. Students must have successfully completed one year of study at IDMANN Institute before applying to EDF.

In a typical scenario, students go through a rigorous enterprise development process (via the College of General Studies) that would prepare them for the capital formation exercise upon or close to graduation. In that instance, students then apply directly to the Fund for financing. Upon positive evaluation of an application, the fund shall provide financing (or enable access thereto) for the enterprise in question. These microloans  would be securely collateralized and protected from the vagaries of the  lending environment. (Preference will always be for applications that request access to productive capability needed to start a business, over cash disbursements.) Applications that are unsuccessful are guided toward a path of improvement, refinement and ultimately, re-application for consideration. Applicants can only apply twice to the Fund.

The Fund  (on behalf of the partners) typically exerts board oversight on these fledgling enterprises in addition to providing ongoing advisory and managerial support for the businesses. Funds return rates are determined by the Fund Manager based at Vertical Optimization. A Fund Advisory board oversees the  fund's activities in concert with the Academic Advisory Boards at the respective schools.

IDMANN Institute is focused on creating REAL employment for REAL people. Experiential learning is an important part of our offering at IDMANN. Our programs are designed to support working students to get real jobs, or create new ones. Beyond that, we also welcome students who are willing to work to DEFRAY part of their educational expenses. This is covered by the IDMANN Work Study Program. In this program, students are placed into productive work positions at IDMANN Institute and related entities. In addition to internal positions, we also offer students an opportunity to work in related companies and organizations. The income students realize from these positions help them defray their educational expenses.  These jobs are typically part-time, recognizing the academic demands on the students’ time.

The work study program is managed by the Experiential Services Unit and is coordinated with the relevant program directors, and the corporate administration of the institution. Open positions shall be made available to students on a competitive basis. Students will be expected to apply and present themselves professionally for evaluation. Students in the work-study program must adhere to all regulations in the providing organizational unit. All open positions at IDMANN Institute are posted on this web site. Students may apply for job postings on this web site and indicate their intent to enroll in the Work-Study program. Generally IDMANN Institute students are given favorable consideration in filling open positions as long as they are suitably qualified for the advertised position.

Interested students are encouraged to visit this web site and review postings on the Employment Pages periodically.

IDMANN Institute provides world-class PRACTICAL education to motivated students seeking to develop lasting careers. Our student body is truly international as we have students from many countries and walks of life.

Our standing commitment is to provide affordable, accessible, career-enhancing education to all our students. To accomplish this, we hire the best instructors and faculty from around the world.

To make our services affordable and accessible, we endeavor to provide our students with convenient payment schedules (typically monthly) so that students and families can incorporate the cost of their education into their normal lives. By enabling students to pay monthly, IDMANN Institute is able to support self-supporting (working) students as well as sponsored students.

Furthermore, we schedule and offer most of our classes online so that students can incorporate their IDMANN training into their work schedules and in many cases, other school schedules. The Institute also occasionally extends scholarships and bursary support for needy students. Those scholarships and bursary support programs are announced on this page.

The following financial aid packages are available for select programs. Intending applicants should check with the program of interest to see which of these financial aid packages apply to the specific program of interest. IDMANN Challenge Bursary

Some programs are supported by the IDMANN Challenge Bursary. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary is financial aid provided by IDMANN Institute and partner organizations that fund the Enterprise Development Fund. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary supports students according to the following criteria:

  1. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary only covers tuition, not the application fee. Awards are made AFTER students have applied and have been successfully admitted into the program.
  2. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary will only support the first ten (10) students to apply in the qualifying cohort. This means that students who apply early are more likely to be successfully considered for the bursary award. The Challenge Bursary is made on a "first-come first-awarded" basis. Students in eligible countries are STRONGLY encouraged to apply early and to indicate their intent to apply for the bursary award. (No special form is required, simply indicate in the application form.)
  3. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary covers 50% of the tuition for students. It does NOT cover the application fee.
  4. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary operates on a contributory basis. This means that students must pay their share of the tuition IN A TIMELY MANNER for the bursary to be applied. In the event that students fail to make their payments in a timely manner, the bursary award will automatically lapse and students will be responsible for the full tuition.
  5. Bursary awards are for a specific cohort in a specific course and cannot be transferred to another course. However, in the event that the award recipient needs to transfer to a different cohort within the same course, upon approval of their instructor, the bursary award may be transferred to the new cohort at the same level of support as in the previous cohort.
  6. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary is available subject to continued availability of funds to support the bursary. The Institute and supporting partners may terminate the program without prior notice. In any circumstance, students awarded a bursary will receive the committed support through the completion of their studies at IDMANN Institute.
  7. The IDMANN Challenge Bursary is available only to students applying to the program and are RESIDENT in the following countries at the time of application: Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Jamaica, Kenya, Tanzania, Guyana, Suriname, Haiti and Indonesia.

 National Service Bursary

(Nigeria, Ghana and the US (in certain programs))

  1. Graduates from post-secondary tertiary institutions in Ghana are required to participate in the National Service Scheme. Similarly, graduates from post-secondary tertiary institutions in Nigeria are required to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). In the US, young graduates may elect to join the Peace Corps for international experience or join the domestic AmeriCorps program.
  2. These programs are intended to support community and national development and to provide a transitional experience for young graduates by assigning them to varied places of employment during the service period. IDMANN Institute supports the motivation behind these national services programs and is proud to extend a unique bursary to active members.
  3. In support of this, ACTIVE members of these national service programs may apply for a National Service Bursary. The National Service Bursary covers 60% of the tuition for eligible applicants. It does NOT cover the application fee for applicants.
  4. To qualify for the National Service Bursary, applicants must be registered in the national service program (or received their call-up documents) at the time of application to the program. (Applicants cannot combine the Challenge Bursary and the National Service Bursary.)
  5. The National Service Bursary will only support the first one hundred (100) applicants in the qualifying cohort. This means that applicants who apply early are more likely to be successfully considered for the bursary award. The National Service Bursary is made on a "first-come first-awarded" basis. Students in eligible countries are STRONGLY encouraged to apply early and to indicate their intent to apply for the bursary award. (No special form is required, simply indicate in the application form.)
  6. The National Service Bursary operates on a contributory basis. This means that students must pay their share of the tuition IN A TIMELY MANNER for the bursary to be applied. In the event that students fail to make their payments in a timely manner, the bursary award will automatically lapse and students will be responsible for the full tuition.
  8. The National Service Bursary is available subject to continued availability of funds to support the bursary. The Institute and supporting partners may terminate the program without prior notice. In any circumstance, students awarded a bursary will receive the committed support through the completion of their studies at IDMANN Institute.
